If you have a bit of a sweet tooth, love fresh bread, or have never tried a BBQ pork bun, you need to make sure to check out these delicious bakeries in Reno.
House of Bread
House of Bread bakes, hands down, the best bread Reno has to offer. All their goods are made daily with fresh ingredients, and everything is done by hand. Make sure to check out their menu to find which breads are available on each day. Our personal favorites are the Darwin and the Challah. If you’re in the mood for something a bit more on the sweet side, they also offer a large assortment of pastries. And last, but not least, here you can find one of the best sandwiches in Reno.
Josef’s Vienna Bakery & Café
Few do sweets quite like the Austrians. Since opening in the 80’s, Josef’s Vienna Bakery & Café has become a Reno staple for their incredible vibrant pastries, cakes, and confections (we recommend their macaroons and fruit tarts). Inside, the ambiance has a European flair, and the rows of colorful baked goods conjure the warm fuzzies of Candyland; so grab yourself a minicake and cappuccino, and wonder how anything could taste any better.
No Reno bakery list is complete without Honey Bakery. This Chinese establishment has been satisfying customers with its traditional flavors and fantastic prices for years. Sometimes they’ll close their doors out of the blue, but that’s only because the owners return to China to visit family. Don’t worry, they always return. Visitors must try their BBQ pork buns and egg custard tart. And don’t forget, here you can find one of the best bobas in Reno.
